Courage is one of the most important inner qualities we can develop to address our fears.
The beginnings of a new year will often hold anxieties and fears on what lies ahead. But January also reminds us that the darker days are gradually on the turn. In the midst of winter, the daffodils are pushing through and soon we will have crocuses and snowdrops.
Nature teaches us that there is a way through darkness into the light.
In adversity we can find opportunities to develop courage and learn how to overcome fear.
When we grasp the nettle and face up to fear with courage, we find a way through.
We find strength in taking the courage to act and the intensity of fear is reduced.
