HOW TO SPOT FRAUDULENT EMAILS
During these changing times, it's important now more than ever that you remain alert against scams and fraud criminals targeting you and your business through 'phishing' emails.
Phishing is a form of cybercrime in which fraudsters claiming to be from a legitimate organisation ask recipients to verify sensitive information, such as their passwords or credit card details. These emails also often present a sense of urgency that pressure you into completing the requested action as soon as possible.
Although these emails can look convincing, here are a few ways to identify a fake email and defend yourself from phishing attacks:
Mindcool will never ask you to confirm your personal or financial details over email
Any emails from us will always state '@mindcool.com' as the address, which will be displayed next to the 'From' name
We will always address you by your first name, rather than with a non-specific greeting such as 'Dear Customer'
What should I do if I receive a suspicious email?
If you receive any emails claiming to be from Mindcool that you believe are scams, please report them by forwarding them to firstname.lastname@example.org and then delete them from your inbox. Do not click any links or open any attachments contained within these emails.
